What are your pick-up and delivery options?
All equipment can be picked-up from and dropped back to Silent Groove’s pickup location in North Beach.
 
How do I set up the silent disco equipment?

One of the best things about the Silent Groove silent disco equipment is that you don’t need to be tech-savy to set it up, our system is extremely quick and easy, literally ‘plug in and play’ – we will have you grooving in no time!

 

We will email easy to follow instructions prior to your booking and we can offer a demo of how to set-up at the time of pick-up or delivery. Set-up options are available for community and corporate events on request. 

What type of headphones do you supply?

Silent Groove’s wireless headphones offer three different channels simultaneously, each channel with its own LED colour (green, blue and red). The beauty of three playlists of music at any one time means each person can change the music they are dancing to as they please – as well as personal control of their own volume. Three channels means more choices of music, so no one has an excuse to ‘sit-out’ a song they don’t like!

 

Headphones come pre-charged with approximately 8 hours charge. Silent Groove ensures all equipment is checked, charged, cleaned and counted before each hire. 

How does the music work?

Silent Groove provides three transmitters and Aux cables which simply plug in to any device, such as a DJ deck, laptop, iPad/tablet, phone, iPod, etc.

 

We provide the headphones and transmitters.  Our standard silent disco hire packs do not include music devices, however you can hire 1, 2 or 3 music devices from us with downloaded playlists at the time of booking.

 

We also provide 3 x USB-C and 3 x lightning adapters with every booking to work with your phone or tablet. If you are using DJ decks, you may have your own cables, or get in touch and we can include with your booking.

 

We are able to provide suggested playlists and instructions on how to set-up your devices.

Do I need power for the equipment to work?
We have two different types of transmitters. Our standard transmitters require power. If you do not have access to power, we can include our battery powered transmitters at the time of booking for an extra $100. Perfect for a walking tour, or an outdoor location.
What precautions are in place due to COVID-19?

Silent Groove ensures all equipment (headphones, transmitters and crates) have been cleaned prior to each hire.

 

Our staff have also completed the AHA Hospitality and Tourism COVID-19 Hygiene course and follow these guidelines in the preparation of all equipment. A COVID Safety Plan is also emailed with each booking with further information and advice. 

What do I do after the event?

To ensure we can continue providing everyone with awesome Silent Groove disco equipment, we simply request that all equipment is checked and packed back into the Silent Groove storage crates provided.

 

You must be available on your nominated phone number to confirm collection of equipment or delivery back to Silent Groove. An agreed timeframe will be provided by Silent Groove ahead of your event.

What happens if the equipment is damaged during hire?

We understand that accidents sometimes happen, however if headphones or other equipment is damaged making them unusable or lost during your event you will be liable for the replacement cost.  The best way to avoid this cost is to ensure you and your guests look after the equipment.

 

A bond is held as a pre-authorisation on the debit or credit card that you used to make your online booking. When hiring from Silent Groove, you authorise Silent Groove to charge for any incidentals including, but not limited to equipment damage, late return of equipment, and equipment returned in an unclean state. Clients will be notified before any charges are made by Silent Groove
